As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, downloading an Aadhaar card in India can be done through the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Here's a step-by-step guide on how to download your Aadhaar card: 

 

 Step 1: Visit the UIDAI official website 

 Go to the UIDAI website by typing " https://uidai.gov.in/" in your web browser's address bar and press Enter. 

  Step 2: Click on "Download Aadhaar" 

 On the UIDAI homepage, under the "My Aadhaar" section, click on the "Download Aadhaar" option.  

 Step 3: Choose your Aadhaar option 

 In the "Download Aadhaar" page, you will have two options to download your Aadhaar: 

 

 - "Aadhaar Number (UID)": Select this option if you want to download your Aadhaar using your 12-digit Aadhaar number.  - "Enrollment ID (EID)": Choose this option if you want to download your Aadhaar using your 14-digit enrollment ID, which is provided on the acknowledgment slip given during the Aadhaar enrollment process. 

 Step 4: Enter the required details 

 After choosing the option you want, you need to provide the following details: 

 

 - Aadhaar Number or Enrollment ID (depending on your choice). - Full name. - PIN code of your registered address. 

  Step 5: Request  OTP 

 After providing the required details, click on the "Request OTP" button. An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your Aadhaar linked mobile number.

 Step 6: Enter the OTP 

 Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number in the space provided on the website. 

  Step 7: Download Aadhaar 

 After entering the OTP, click on the Download Aadhaar button. Your Aadhaar Card will be downloaded in  PDF format.  

 Step 8: Open the Aadhaar PDF 

 You need a password to open the downloaded Aadhaar PDF file. The password to open the PDF file consists of the first four letters of your name in capital letters followed by your year of birth  in YYYY format.

 For example, if your name is "John Doe" and your year of birth  is 1990,  the password is "JOHN1990".  

 Step 9: Display and print 

 Once you open the Aadhaar PDF with the correct password, you can view your Aadhaar details and print a copy for your records. 

 

 Important Note: To  download Aadhaar successfully, make sure  your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar as  OTP  will be sent to this number for verification.
